«Through the Care About Earth program, we are committed to developing sustainable products and reducing our impact on the environment so that we can contribute to protecting the earth for generations to come. Our priorities include eliminating single-use plastics and materials based on fossil fuels whenever possible, and always prioritizing responsible and sustainable alternatives.
We have launched several sustainable initiatives that are helping us to become as environmentally friendly and aware as we can be without compromising the quality of our products, while taking extra care to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and EU regulations on cosmetics.»

Eco-design, or the systematic integration of environmental aspects into product design and development, aims to reduce negative environmental impacts throughout a product’s life cycle.
This approach, applied to the design process from the very outset, focuses on striking the best balance between environmental, social, technical and economic requirements in terms of product design and development. Each time a product is developed, it creates an opportunity for us to consider its environmental aspects and reduce our impact at every stage, from the sourcing of raw materials right through to formulation, choice of production site, packaging, packing, shipping and recycling.
One of our major improvements relates to packaging. We have decided to rethink its manufacture, eco-designing it to eliminate plastics made with fossil fuels from our standard offer.
Now, our products are packaged in sustainable materials such as bio-sourced plastic from sugarcane and from post-consumption and postindustry recycled materials. By choosing eco-design, we are offering hoteliers sustainable solutions and supporting them in their transition to eco-friendly practices.
To avoid the use of plastics from limited resources, such as fossil fuels, we offer 100% plant-based tubes, bottles and large-capacity dispensers, made from sugarcane residue known as bagasse.
The sugarcane we use is sourced exclusively from sustainably-managed farms and responsible suppliers and we only use the residue from the industrial process after at least 3 extraction cycles. This ensures that our production is not harmful to the ecosystems of the producing areas.
+ Our dispenser pumps are in bio-resin made mostly from bagasse.
We manufacture packaging that favors the use of recycled materials from the following sources:
PCR (post-consumer recycled) materials from consumer waste that has been previously used and discarded.
PIR (post-industry recycled) plastic is sourced from the recovery of industrial waste (manufacturing waste) or recalled products never used by consumers. Our bottles, dispensers and caps can be made in recycled plastic, we can also use recycled paper for the bottles and dispensers’ labels, and our soaps can be wrapped in recycled cardboard boxes and with recycled paper.
+ These materials are also fully recyclable.
Ecopump, Groupe GM’s large-capacity dispensers (300 to 500ml) with cylindrical or square bases. They are available in a variety of shapes and materials (sugarcane-based and recycled) to meet all your different needs.
+ The 500ml dispensers are available in an opaque version with a window for easy visualization of the liquid level.
To respect your environmental transition, our pumps are mostly made in bio-resins coming from plants such as sugarcane.
Several wall bracket options are available to matching our solutions. Single, double or triple shapes, they are made from stainless steel, chromium plated brass or ABS.
They can be fixed with screws or double-sided tape.
A new and innovative refillable and traceable eco-friendly dispenser. A clean, safe, fast and easy solution with a reduced environmental impact.
Its bottle comes with 400ml sealed pouches, ensuring minimal packaging as they are made of only 8g of recyclable plastic and guarantee fully traceable cosmetics. Ecofill bottle exists in recycled plastic with a translucent finish and in polycarbonate plastic with a transparent finish, both recyclable.
+ The traceability of the pouch complies with EU cosmetic regulations, is tamper-proof once sealed, and the product’s origin and quality are guaranteed.
The Ecosource airless dispenser, with Nordic and European Ecolabel certification, is the first cosmetic dispenser for preservative-free formulations that are as soft on the skin as they are on the environment.
Its airless sterile bags have a 375ml capacity, and are made from only 11g of plastic, offering a unique combination of quality, ecology, innovation and security.
We offer a wide range of bottles in sizes from 20ml to 100ml, available in recycled or sugarcane-based plastic.
Our tubes are available in different sizes, from 10ml to 200ml and in several finishes.
All the tubes in our branded lines are sugarcane-based.
Our bar soaps are made with palm oil from RSPO Segregated and Mass Balance palm plantations (which contribute to the production and use of certified sustainable palm oil).
Our organic cosmetic products are certified by COSMECERT in line with the COSMOS standard. We offer a selection of European ECOLABEL-certified cosmetic products.
According to your requirements, we can also develop liquid formulas that are:
These 100% plastic-free products are available in shampoo, shower gel and conditioner formulas. Their solid form uses 9 times less water in production compared to the classic liquid formulas.
They are:
These products are truly soap-free, meaning that these dermatological bars are ideal for sensitive and atopic skins. They are made with a blend of gentle surfactants, such as the Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate obtained from coconut oil, emulsifiers and emollients.
As they contain neither sodium nor SLS, their pH is naturally close to that of water, which make them suitable for sensitive skins.
With every product we develop, we are mindful of our environmental impact and work to optimize our designs with the objective of reducing the size and weight of containers as much as possible. We maximize our use of bio-sourced, recyclable and recycled materials and create packing materials in recycled and recyclable paper and cardboard.
+ We also offer recyclable stone paper wrapping.
We have drastically reduced unnecessary packaging and packing materials. Poly bags (PO) have been removed from the packaging of our accessories in order to reduce the use of plastic as much as possible.
+ When additional protection is still necessary (e.g for sanitary and safety reasons), we pack the items in: PLA bags, made from corn starch, this natural alternative to plastic is fully biodegradable in industrial compost units or in recyclable paper bags.
We consider quality to be a cornerstone of our business.
Our factories and industrial partners located in Europe and Asia are ISO 22716, 14001 and 9001 certified and respect Good Manufacturing Practices. Premium production quality is guaranteed throughout the production process.
Our own factories are certified by COSMECERT according to COSMOS standard, and certified by ECOLABEL according to EU ECOLABEL standards. They endeavor to minimize their impact on the environment by streamlining their supply chain solutions, reducing water and energy use, recycling waste, restricting the use of over-packs and using clean technologies as part of our Care About Earth program.
We also ask our production plants and industrial partners to commit to eco-responsible practices.
We have digitized our communication by reducing drastically our print materials (brochures, catalogues, leaflet, flyers, instructions …). We always favor digital content over printed materials and we are gradually increasing the use of QR codes for our products and set-up instructions.
For the remaining printed items, our cardboard boxes, brochures and leaflets are printed using water-based acrylic varnishes and vegetable inks on responsible packs made of:
To promote a clear and standardized message around our Care About Earth program, we have developed a dedicated graphic charter and a library of logos and messages to affix to our packaging, products and communication.
Our initiatives are now clearly identified and understandable.
Trust, respect, diversity and a quest for excellence are our company’s core values, and these values have inspired us to commit to building a sustainable business.
We aspire to be a positive influence in the communities in which we operate and strive to preserve the planet and contribute to the wellbeing of our employees.
Groupe GM incorporates a culture where trust, respect, diversity and a quest for excellence have remained core values for over 40 years. It is these values that have inspired Groupe GM to be the responsible business it is today. Since 2018, the Care About Earth program has set out Groupe GM’s priorities for its employees, partners and customers. This commitment to social responsibility was recognised in September 2021 by the Ecovadis organisation, which awarded Groupe GM a bronze medal. In 2023, more than 100,000 companies were assessed and we were found to be among the top 18% highest performers in our industry. We are proud to announce our progression from bronze to silver medal status, in recognition of our commitment to sustainable and ethical practices in hospitality. We remain determined to meet the highest standards in terms of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
